Easy Sunday Project

While it was quiet time at my house yesterday, I decided to take the time to turn what used to be a play food bucket (rendered unnecessary by the awesome produce/food stand we built) and turn it into a Nerf small blaster and ammo bucket. Cut out the pieces, Mod Podged them one, done. Took about 15 minutes. Here's the before and after!

January Monthly Challenge!

This month's project was to scraplift from another project in the Cricut Circle Blog. Would you know it, I got this done a while ago, went back and reread the directions and had totally forgotten to use items from at least 2 sponsors! So, I went back in a redid some of it using Bazzil paper and Imaginescence gems with the I-Rock. My son's 2nd birthday was a Cards theme (obviously) and when I saw the Birthday Bash page that had been done on the blog, I LOVED it, so that's what I scraplifted! And here it is, in all its glory!

And this is the project I scraplifted:

Weekly Challenge 17 - B.A.B.Y. Challenge!

Here are the rules of the BABY Challenge - it is NOT about babies!
  • (B) = Brads
  • (A) = Aqua
  • (B) = Butterfly
  • (Y) = You as the Subject
This was coming at a perfect time because I was just about to start a scrapbook of my husband and I from the time we met until the time we had the kids - a way to tell them our story. So, I started with a page about me when I first met my husband. This was 13 years ago so these are old pics, but I love them! I spent the whole week on this as I had sick family here, but was really proud of this, and totally forgot to take and post my photos last night. I woke up this morning VERY upset remembering it! BUT, I will post them now!

Weekly Challenge 16 - Cute as a button!

Man, I have been SO off lately! I was really uninspired until earlier today. My kids were sick, I was going crazy, yet the design popped into my head. I can't believe I actually finished! We were to follow a page sketch and use buttons/stamps in our layout. For my stamps, I pulled out my layering stamps that I have never used. I'm not much of a stamps person, but at least it matched my layout! The button colors were perfect as well. All in all, I'm really happy with how it turned out! This will be the front page of my family scrapbook for 2010! Best of ALL, I got to use my new cart, Groovy Times! Love it!

Magazine Thrift Store Challenge!

I LOVED this challenge! This month's Cricut Circle magazine challenge is to take something bought at a thrift store and repurpose it using the cricut. So, here's what I chose! I bought this little shadow box for $2.99 and instantly knew that I wanted to use my Nifty Fifties cart to make a wall hanging for my retro kitchen. My kitchen is blue and black, my dining room red and I am an avid Coca-Cola collector so everything is pretty retro in appliances and decor. Here is my before photo:

And here is what I came up with! Using cuts from a dark blue (the same color as my walls), light blue, glitter red, pink, black and white, I now have a new wall hanging! I LOVE how it turned out! Thanks for looking!

Weekly Challenge 15 - Feeling Frosty!

Time for this weeks challenge! We were to use white paint, a snowflake cut, and something metal in our project. I obviously have the snowflake cuts within, splattered the background of blue paper with some white paint for snow effect, and used some small metal brads to hold on the 10 Months tag and for the center of the bottom snowflake and the snowflake in snow!

Dog Birthday Card

I had a lot of fun creating this "Boofday" card using my new Four Legged Friends cart!

Queen Card

I LOVE Rock Princess! Made this fun card from it also!
