A new cart and another page!
I picked up Cindy Loo last night and I love it! I also picked up an I Rock and I'm working on learning the skills. I do love the gems - sorry, I can NOT bring myself to use the word "bling" - totally hate it...and dangit, I just said it! I'm FINALLY working on the scrapbook again - this is, after all why I started scrapbooking anyway - go figure! Just been making cards lately! I will get my little girl's 1st year done before her 2nd birthday!

Get Well Card
Made a get well card for my daughter's swim instructor. She has been in and out of the hospital and we miss her! That's why it's a mermaid and I put in the inside that her fishies missed her!

Infomercial Entry
This was my project for the infomercial contest, and here is the info I sent them:
I was so excited to participate in this contest and was inspired by my kids. I wanted to create a new piece of wall art for their room, so even before I had received my 3 Birds on Parade cartridge, I had a vision in my head for my little knight and my sweet princess.
Using a 12 x 12 canvas, I first painted it bright green, then I cut out an 11.5" base page from Storybook (Flourish3/the #4) and adhered that to the canvas.
I used 3 Birds on Parade to cut 5 1/2" birds for the knight bird (Knight) and the fairy bird (Fairy). I used both Storybook and Lyrical Letters (Jumbo) to cut the letters for the words and I cut them from 2 different colors and shadowed them. I had them drawn up in DS, but was uncertain if we could use that, so I went all manual, just in case! I used gems and pearls to add embellishments to the crown, sword, and tutu.
I am very excited for how it turned out. I absolutely love using my Cricut and it is my way to relax and create! I painter and a photographer, so I like combining all my skills to create unique pieces of art. It is a constant learning process and I'm always finding new things to try!
Some close ups of the birds and detail work.

Weekend Challenge
The challenge for this weekend was to use paper we already had and I took this opportunity to make my cousin a birthday card in the process! I had a lot of fun doing it!
