Christmas Gifts & Cards Part 1

I know, it's been a LONG time since I've posted anything. I have been very unmotivated and kinda depressed with the crafting world! I knew I had to get back out there for Christmas, so here are some of the projects I've made so far for gifts!

First, the cards:

I decided to try my hand at making my own snowglobe card, so I used George to put this one together. Added on the cute bird from Jolly Holidays and voila!

I used my new Paper Trimmings on this one - love those cuts! Got out my glimmer mist for a snowy background and, once again, pulled a cut fox from Jolly Holidays!

Made my own simple round card and added on a cute teddy from Christmas Solutions.

I also made some coasters for the first time - so easy and fun - and they look so nice!

I used a 2x4 to create a desk block for my son's teacher. One side is personalized with her name, and the other side I put on this quote from Yoda:

I also created these bags for my son's teachers. I used the freezer paper method, and let me tell you, I love making stuff with that! I have done several things this year so far!

Blogiversary Challenges

Yay for the Circle Blog Anniversary!!! It's been a great year and while I've been totally bummed about not winning the banner contest, I am excited about these! So, here's what I've got!

The first one is the Sketch Challenge for the Imagine giveaway. I made a card for my cousin's son using Robotz (love this cart!)

The second card is is for the Circle Cart challenge. Since I have never used Shall We Dance, I pulled it out for this one! I made an anniversary card for my cousins.

The 3rd one I made for the Cuttlebug challenge, but I thought it was use 2 cuttlebug folders and it was 2 cricut cuts, which I did not do, which stinks cause I love the simplicity of it!

HSN Launch 26th

The E2 is going to be aired on HSN starting at 12:01 on the 26th! I am SO excited! I can't even say how much I want one of these. I made and entered the banner in hopes of a chance to win and I really really hope this is my time. I have entered almost everything and won nothing and I am so confident in this banner. So, this is my "I REALLY hope I win" post so watch the launch and check back here later for the results. I will either be really happy or really really sad! lol

HSN Banner Entry

Here is my banner for the HSN E2 launch on Sept 26th. We were to make a banner that spelled out Cricut and this it what I came up with! I had SO much fun with it and am thrilled with the results! I used the Carousel cart and Stand and Salute for the stars. I used solid cardstock only and vellum - I used my Cuttlebug with a diamond folder for the letters and golden/bronze embossing on the inside of the ticket stubs. I also put a little bit of stickles on each one and punched my holes with a star hole punch - I am into the details! Hope you enjoy!

August Magazine Challenge - Cosmo Cricket!

This month's magazine challenge asked us to use Cosmo Cricket products and the Cuttlebug to create something fun and exciting!
I used the Double Deck pack on my project.

I started with a fun shaped toolbox looking holder from the thrift store and a piece of 2x4 I cut.

I have been working on getting my new craft space set up and this toolbox will hold my extra adhesives. The block is just a fun decoration for my area! I used 2 of the papers from the Double Deck pack - the yellow and the red starburst - LOVED these papers!

I used a script folder for my emboss on both the bird and the white sheet on the block. I then inked in red and embossed so the ink wouldn't smear when I Mod Podged everything.

Organized Chaos is what I call how I craft!

This shelf is another thrift store find that I'm mounting on the wall above my station. As you can see, my walls are red, so the white, black, yellow, and red compliment it well!

This is my favorite, and if I do say so myself, my most ingenious part. I wanted a way to affix the flower on the wood block easy and glue and I and the flowers are not getting along well. So, I used a yellow thumb tack! I added some Stickles to it to make it shimmer and it works perfectly!

I am so thrilled with how they turned out - I love everything about it. Carts I used were Flower Shoppe, Nursery Rhymes, and Sophie - all new carts for my blog usage!

Hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it!

Riverwalk Fun

Another entry for my son's 2nd year book, this has taken me a while. I am not finding any time to scrap and it's a little sad, but I hope to get in a couple hours sometime this week!

I tried a new technique on this one - an emboss resist using the Cuttlebug! All in all, it was pretty simple. I wanted to stick with the simple colors and I am really happy with how it turned out!

Magazine Challenge - Pop Up Neighborhood

This magazine challenge asks us to use Pop Up Neighborhood to create a project. Well, this was SO much fun. First off, I LOVE this cart. It's probably my favorite Circle cart yet. I wanted to create some artwork for my kids' play room and this is what I drew up. I used a fabric background and fabric for the forefront hill and everything else is paper. My husband even helped me convert a frame into a shadowbox!
The size is 12x18 because I wanted to get a lot of little detail in it. I think I succeeded! It turned out just how I hoped it would and I hope you enjoy! Since there are SO many cuts, it's impossible for me to get into the sizes of each one but it took me about a week working on it some each day. I hope you can take the time to appreciate all the shading I did and all the shimmers to capture the sunlight. I am an artist at heart so I got to use lots of skills in this creation!

Companion to S'mores layout

I finished it yesterday - the companion to my S'mores LO! This was was a little more simple and dangit if it I didn't have a hard time lining up my blue border! I redid it several times and I LOVE my ATG but that tape STICKS - good and bad thing! I should have used glue, but live and learn! I used Stand and Salute for most of it, and Cupcake for the font! I did a close up of my fireworks and font to try and show off my beautiful glimmer mist and my stickles but it's a little tough to see!

Luke's 2nd Year - Post 2

I skipped around a little on this one, but here are some more pages from his book!

February layout - I used Boys Will Be Boys, Indie Art, Rock Princess, and Robotz for the numbers. I had SO much fun with this one!

Easter layout - using Nate's ABCs and Holiday Cakes.

A July layout of putting together his tricycle, using Nate's ABCs, Boys Will Be Boys, and Going Places.

Another July layout, including his first haircut. On this one I used 3 Birds On Parade, Pop Up Neighborhood, and Cricut Everyday for the scissors.

Stay tuned for more! Still working on them!
