Welcome to my mind. I love color, I love textures, and am looking forward to showing you what I come up with!

Cricut Circle Stampede Photos!

Here are some of the photos I took at the Stampede! I had a fabulous time and hope you enjoy them! It was held in Frisco, TX at the Embassy Suites and Convention Center there. Beautiful place! I met some absolutely wonderful people, and the benefit of going alone meant I got to spend every meal meeting another crafter! I actually got 8 pages done and will post those in the next blog entry. I got to learn all about the Stampmaker ( I SO want one!) the Yudu (something I've been wanting as well!) and found out the awesomeness of the glass etching. The possibilities of what I can make with my Cricut was highly expanded this weekend and I can not WAIT for the next one! Enjoy!

Magazine Cricut Everyday Challenge!

This challenge asks us to use at least 3 cuts from the Cricut Everyday cart and make something to define yourself at any of the meetups, swarms, or crops! I thought this was perfect since the Stampede is next weekend, so I made a name plaque out of a 2x4 and picked up some containers at the dollar store to make an "In" and "Out" card box for my calling cards. On the back side of my 2x4, I made my Scrapbooking Queen tag! I am also making an extra box for trash and snacks. I used Mod Podge to adhere the cuts and I love how they came out!

Weekly Challenge 22 - Once Upon A Time

The challenge of this is to use fairytale or folklore in the project. No challenge to me! I LOVE using my fairytale stuff! I want an all fairytale cartridge - hear that, Provocraft!?! With some good dragons and castles and unicorns and stuff.

So, here is my layout. This was a no-brainer. The kids were SO cute dressed up as knights that I loved the photos I got of them! And, here is what I created! I used Dress Up Paper Dolls and my love of details to create the knights. I embossed with silver, red, and black embossing powder on the armor, lances, helm, cape, and shield to look just like their outfit. I also used stickles for the first time on the lance, shield, and in between the photos. I cut the banner and the welded font together from Blackletter and used chalks to shadow up the banner. I had a BLAST doing this and was just hit with the concept today! Nothing like the last minute!

Weekly Challenge 21 - Animal Magnetism!

I'm so excited to be doing a challenge this week! I had to miss out on the last couple because I didn't have the supplies or machines needed to do them, but I am back now! This one is all about animals! I knew which photos I would love to use. Nothing cuter than a little boy and a Buster dog! I even got to break out my new cart, Nate's ABCs! Hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it!

My Sweet Valentine - Magazine Challenge

This theme was to create a Valentine's treat with something edible on or inside of it! I decided to make a little box and fill it with Hershey's Kisses. I think it turned out cute and it was my first time making a box! The prize for this contest is a Cricut Cake Mini and I would LOVE to win one! Here's hoping for a chance!

Weekly Challenge 18 - Back to the Basics

This week's challenge asked us to go back to the basics and use carts that came with our machines. My choices were Cricut Classic Font & Playtime that came with my Expression and Gyspy Font & Wanderings that came with my Gypsy. I love these carts so this was not too hard for me! Just made a simple card this time!

Easy Sunday Project

While it was quiet time at my house yesterday, I decided to take the time to turn what used to be a play food bucket (rendered unnecessary by the awesome produce/food stand we built) and turn it into a Nerf small blaster and ammo bucket. Cut out the pieces, Mod Podged them one, done. Took about 15 minutes. Here's the before and after!
